Upon arrival in Africa all vehicles are checked to ensure the accuracy of the original vehicle description.
ATAF makes every effort to make sure vehicles are inspected prior to delivery and that problems are found

Grading Scale
Condition Grading System:
- 5 Almost new to Brand new
- 4.5 Very good condition
- 4.0 Good condition to Above average
- 3.5 Average to Good condition
- 3.0 Below average condition
- 2.5 Poor condition
- 2.0 Very poor condition
- 1.0 Suspension, Engine, Transmission or Exhaust altered and modified beyond normal vehicle specifications
- 0 Vehicle has accident history
Interior Grading System:
- A Very Good Condition
- B Good Condition
- C Average Condition
- D Below Average Condition
Important Note: All grading is based on the year of the vehicle and relates to what a vehicle's condition would be expected to be given its age. For example, a vehicle less than 1 year old graded 4.0 would probably have several faults or areas that require reconditioning even though the condition overall is good as it is almost new. By contrast, a vehicle 10 years old would be expected to be in average (3.5) condition but would be in very good condition if it was graded 4.0 as it is in better condition than most vehicles of that age. The vehicle grading, both interior and exterior, do not relate to reconditioning costs. Close attention to specific vehicle details shown on the condition reports are recommended.
Condition grades are based on a comparison with a normal vehicle's condition of the same year, make, model and mileage being graded.
All grading is subjective and depends on the age and mileage of the vehicle. For example; A new
vehicle with extensive scratches or dents on the outside would grade higher than a 10 year old vehicle with
100,000 kms in the same condition.
Grading should be used as a general guide but the condition notes for each vehicle should be specifically noted
and reviewed prior to buying.
